The Computer Systems Research Laboratory (CSLab) at the Department of Digital Systems, University of Thessaly, Greece, is interested in hosting researchers under the Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship programme (MSCA PF) that is funded through the European Commission.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) (https://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/) will continue providing opportunities for researchers and organisations under Horizon Europe, the new EU Research and Innovation programme for the period 2021-2027. The MSCA actions for Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowships are expected to be announced on May 18, 2021.
The MSCA PF are 2-year postdoctoral fellowships, which cover salary and research costs of the researchers, who can come from anywhere in the world. The projects are strongly focused on the career development of participating researchers. In order to apply for MSCA PF funding, interested candidates need to prepare a 10-page research proposal together with our support.

We invite potential postdoc candidates (PhD defense before September 2021) to express their interest by 31 May 2021 (send your CV to the director’s e-mail quoted below). Then, we will select the candidates that best suit the eligibility criteria. Selected candidates will be assisted by us in grant writing (remotely) and can start writing their proposal over the summer. The final submission deadline to the European Commission is 15 September 2021. The funding decisions will be communicated by February 2022, and projects can start around April 2022 or later.
Please note that applicants should have recently completed their postgraduate studies. If the date of PhD is after 15 September 2021 or before 15 September 2013, you might be not eligible.
We hope that such fellowship will contribute significantly to the candidate’s career development and offer interesting job perspectives after completion of the fellowship.
Please make sure you fulfill the eligibility criteria, and that you match the profile requested in the expressions of interest.
Please note that the above opportunities are not funded positions (yet); they depend on a successful proposal written mostly by you (with some input from us) and submitted before 15 September 2021.

Those interested to apply may send their CV to the Director of the research laboratory Dr. Adam George (gadam@uth.gr).
